You can set the loop delay time while recording your first phrase. But then you have to have a separate control to mute/send each input, instead of a global start/stop recording function. The key features of Augustus Loop that make it more than just a big delay effect are: Really long maximum delay (3600 seconds - that's one hour). This can be worked around by setting up a control to mute the input to Augustus loop. My original post was basically wondering if this feature already exists within Augustus Loop and I am just missing it somehow?ДЄs far as I can tell, Augustus Loop doesn't really approach looping in this way, but more like a glorified delay pedal that's always on, constantly overdubbing the incoming signal. Then, to overdub, just push the button once to feed the signal in for overdubs, once again to cut the signal and stop the recording. a button that will start recording the input signal when pushed, and then stop recording and start looping when pushed again.

My request is to have some sort of button akin to the 'classic' loop pedal 'record/overdub' or 'start/stop' button, i.e. I don't have a username over at KVR, so I'll just post here and hopefully you'll get it. I'm always happy to hear feature requests for Augustus - though ideally over at the KVR forum, which I monitor a bit more closely. Use the input level to control whether you're overdubbing or not. I can't really seem to figure out how to make Augustus Loop do this, and the manual isn't helping me much. THis is what i want: start Recording loop 1, stop recording loop1, loop 1 plays continuously and recording DOES NOT CONTINUE, then using a single button, punch in and out to add multiple layers. This is NOT the way most hardware loopers work, with which traditionally you push the button and record one pass and push the button again to start the loop and end recording, subsequent overdubs are manually punched in and out, without the looper continually recording (unless the looper has a continuous record function, which can usually be turned off it seems like this function is ALWAYS on in Augustus loop). anyway, long story short, i tried augustus loop, which i love as a delay plug, but still can't figure out as a looper.Д«asically, to create my first loop it works fine, but when I'm done with the first loop it never stops recording, it just keeps layering one upon the other, even though I pushed the 'tap rec' button to stop recording the first loop. I tried sooper looper, which seemed like the ticket, except it put my cpu usage up around 80 % (!!!!) which is certainly no good for live or any other setting. But I recently got the hankering for a real 'sound on sound' approach in live. I've been using live as a live looping device for a while now using the 'kid beyond' method.
