The turrets are chewing through ammo more quickly. Therefore the enemy could easily breach my defense, even though IвЂ™m using stronger ammo. If I just replaced the metaglass factory with 1 plastanium factory, it would not supply enough ammo to get to all the turrets. If I am wanting to change to a higher damage ammo вЂ“ letвЂ™s say plastanium вЂ“ IвЂ™d need to consider the change of the ammo multiplier. Look at this! A happy line of constantly firing cyclone turrets with metaglass ammo! All turrets are firing constantly, and there is always just enough supply to keep all turrets fed and firing. LetвЂ™s say we have 10 cyclone turrets all in a row, all running on 1 metaglass factory, one input, and one ammo line.

This is an important issue to consider when it comes to large-scale offensive/defensive turret lines. This means the turret will fire twice before it grabs another piece of ammo.ДЄs such, the lower the multiplier, the quicker the resource used for ammunition is consumed. Plastanium on the other hand вЂ“ while it may do more damage in some cases вЂ“ only has a x2 (times 2) multiplier. If metaglass has a x5 (times 5) multiplier, that means that the turret will fire 5 times on 1 piece of metaglass.

The higher the multiplier, the higher the efficiency. So, if a turret fired twice from 1 piece of resource, that would be a x2 (times 2) multiplier.

It DOES NOT refer to the amount of resource required to fire once.ДЄgain, an ammo multiplier is the amount of shots fired from one piece of resource. ItвЂ™s important to recognise that a multiplier in-game refers to HOW MANY SHOTS a turret will fire from ONE PIECE OF RESOURCE. In the Mindustry game, we might call that a x1 (times 1) multiplier. Under normal circumstances, you would expect 1 piece of resource would give one bullet / shot per turret.
